Just started !

Heute habe ich (endlich!) mit meinem Blog über Artillerie begonnen!

Mein Hauptthema wird die Artillerie des 2.Weltkrieges sein,
manchmal aber auch mit ausgedehnten Ausflügen in die frühere (und ebenso interessante) Geschichte der Artillerie,
zurück bis zur Antike (zu den Kriegsmaschinen der alten Griechen und Römer).

Siehe dazu auch mein Titelbild, das in einer der Artilleriehallen des Wiener Arsenals aufgenommen wurde!
Als österreichischer Patriot werde ich selbstverständlich auch von Zeit zu Zeit die Österreichische Artillerie in diesem Blog behandeln,
und dazu ist das Heeresgeschichtliches Museum (HGM) natürlich eine besonders wichtige Quelle.

Today I launched (finally!) my blog about artillery!

My main theme will be the artillery of WWII,
sometimes extended into the depth of artillery history,
back to ancient times (the war machines of the old greeks and romans).

See above my cover picture which is taken in one of the artillery halls of the Arsenal of Vienna !
As an Austrian patriot the history of the Austrian artillery will also sometimes be covered in this blog
and the Austrian Army Museum (Heeresgeschichtliches Museum = HGM) is a main source for this theme.
